Valine is an essential amino acid, meaning that the body cannot produce it on its own. It’s one of nine essential amino acids and is part of a special sub-group known as branched-chain amino acids ( BCAAs ). Along with the BCAAs isoleucine and leucine, valine has a unique function in the body. |
